Returns & Warranty Policy

1. General Warranty Terms

All hardware sold by Cobra Connect Distribution carries the full local manufacturer warranty. This is typically:

  • Servers: 3-Year Next Business Day (NBD) On-site.
  • Networking: Limited Lifetime Warranty (LLW).
  • Components: 1-3 Years Carry-in (depending on OEM).

Note: Physical damage, power surge damage (unless protected by compliant UPS), and liquid damage are not covered by standard warranties.

2. CPA Cooling-Off Period (Consumers)

In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), individual consumers purchasing for personal use may return unopened, unused goods within 7 days of delivery for a full refund.

Items must be in original packaging with all seals intact. Opened software cannot be returned.

3. B2B Returns (Business Clients)

For business-to-business transactions, returns of correctly supplied, non-defective goods are subject to a 15% handling and restocking fee. This covers logistics and testing required to return items to stock.

Special order items (CTO Servers) are non-returnable unless defective.

4. DOA (Dead on Arrival) Procedure

If a product fails within 7 days of receipt, it is classified as DOA. These units qualify for an immediate swap-out pending a technical assessment. Please log a ticket immediately and select "Dead on Arrival" as the category.

5. RMA Shipping

For warranty claims, the customer is responsible for shipping the item to our RMA center in Midrand. If the item is found to be defective within the warranty period, Cobra Connect Distribution will cover the cost of returning the repaired/replaced unit to you.
